Exploring Points of Resistance for Women in the Mining Industry

Our goal is to facilitate a dialogue on how more women can build more successful careers in the mining industry. Research shows both low rates of entry for women into the industry and high rates of attrition as their careers unfold. We will discuss what the points of resistance are for women at each stage of a mining career, what can be done to challenge or change these, and how we can shift the culture and perception of the mining industry around issues of inclusion.
